One-on-One Virtual Training for Seniors
ElderFIT Virtual Training gives seniors personalized one-on-one fitness sessions with certified trainers who specialize in working with older adults.
Through live video sessions, trainers can demonstrate exercises, observe how a senior moves, provide guidance and adjust workouts based on the senior's abilities, goals and fitness level.
Focused on Strength, Balance, and Mobility
Virtual sessions can focus on strength, balance, mobility, functional movement, flexibility and other areas that help seniors remain active and independent.
Designed Around Individual Goals
Every session is tailored to the senior. Whether the goal is becoming stronger, improving balance, maintaining mobility, staying active or supporting independence, the trainer adapts the workout to the individual's needs.
Virtual Training Makes ElderFIT Available Everywhere
One of the biggest advantages of virtual training is access.
A senior doesn't have to live in a city where an ElderFIT trainer currently provides in-home sessions. With a reliable internet connection and the right equipment, they can work with an ElderFIT trainer from almost anywhere.
Virtual training can be especially helpful for seniors who:
- Live in rural or remote communities
- Travel or spend part of the year in another location
- Live outside our current in-home service areas
For families who live far away from an aging parent, virtual training can also provide another way to support a loved one's health and fitness.
What Our Customers Are Saying
Family-Friendly Virtual Training
Virtual fitness can be especially effective when a family member, friend or caregiver is available to help.
Some seniors are comfortable using technology independently. Others may need assistance getting connected, hearing the trainer clearly, understanding instructions or positioning themselves safely during an exercise.
A family member or caregiver can help with:
- Setting up the device and connecting to the session
- Making sure the senior can hear and see the trainer
- Helping the senior understand technology or exercise instructions
- Helping position the camera so the trainer can see movements clearly
- Providing an extra set of eyes during exercises
- Supporting seniors with hearing or mobility limitations
What You Need to Get Started
Virtual training doesn't require complicated equipment. Seniors can participate using:
- iPad or other tablet
- Laptop
- Desktop computer with webcam
- We do NOT recommend using a smartphone
The device should have:
- A working camera
- A working microphone
- Working speakers
- A reliable internet connection
- A current operating system and supported video-conferencing software or browser
Choose a well-lit exercise area of approximately 8 feet by 10 feet or larger, with enough room to move safely and clear audio so the senior can easily hear and communicate with the trainer.
A Flexible Way to Support Senior Fitness
In-home training is an excellent option for seniors who benefit from having a trainer physically present. Virtual training offers a different kind of flexibility, extending personalized ElderFIT support to seniors who may not have an in-home trainer nearby.
Whether a session takes place in the living room, a spare bedroom or another safe exercise area, the goal remains the same: helping seniors maintain the strength, balance and mobility they need to live active, independent lives.
When a family member or caregiver joins the process, virtual training can also become another meaningful way to support and care for someone they love.
